Ph.D. candidate Joel Daniel Olea-Calixto has been announced as a 2023 Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Innovation Fellow!

His project focuses on how Mexican refugees-turned-technocrats, Indigenous mining laborers, and foreign mining companies shaped Mexico’s mining industry.
