Give

The generosity of donors helps us to maintain the excellence of teaching in our programs and supports the research we conduct to expand knowledge and understanding about the historic foundations of our society.

Please consider these giving opportunities.

Fund for the Future of History

This fund supports research and programs including seminars, workshops, visiting faculty and lecturers, graduate researchers, and activities that involve undergraduates more closely with the academic life of the department. Please consider making a gift to the Fund for the Future of History to help us continue producing scholars and citizens of the world.

Arnie Bauer Memorial Fund

Arnie Bauer adored Chile and encouraged and helped dozens and dozens of students study there. He also helped make UC Davis the top university in the United States to receive Chilean graduate students. Under the aegis of the Hemispheric Institute on the Americas, this fund will help support both UC Davis graduate students conducting initial summer research in Chile and Chilean graduate students attending academic conferences here.

The History Project

The History Project at UC Davis helps teachers develop students' reading, thinking, and writing skills using historic content with the goal of building independent readers, writers, and critical thinkers. Your gift to the History Project supports outstanding professional development for history teachers in the Greater Sacramento region with the goal of elevating student achievement.

The California History-Social Science Project

The California History-Social Science Project conducts institutes for teachers on a variety of topics, including local, California, American and world history, teaching history-social science in elementary school, ethnic studies, and the use of technology in history and social science classrooms. Gifts to the California History-Social Science Project (CHSSP) support the collaborative of historians, teachers and affiliated scholars in the primary and secondary grades and undergraduate institutions of higher learning dedicated to the pursuit of educational excellence in history and social science.

Friends of Jewish Studies

The success of the Jewish Studies program depends on the generous support of people who value scholarly education and research. The Friends of Jewish Studies is a group of UC Davis alumni and community members who make annual gifts in support of undergraduate awards, public lectures and readings, workshops and conferences to help create a robust and dynamic academic environment for our faculty, students and community members.

We sincerely thank you for your generosity.
