UC Davis alumnus Dr. Jakub Benes (PhD 2012) has been promoted to the position of Masaryk Professorship at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies, University College London. This is an international accolade and a distinguished position held in the past by luminaries in the field such as R.W. Seton-Watson and other great British scholars of Eastern Europe.
