Errazzouki wins multiple research awards

The History Department congratulates graduate student Samia Errazzouki, who has won three prestigious awards to support her research.

The awards are the Suad Joseph Graduate Student Research Award, the American Institute of Maghrib Studies (AIMS) fellowship, and the West African Research Association (WARA) fellowship. Errazzouki is currently finishing her second year in the History Ph.D. program, advised by Professor Susan Miller, and her work focuses on nationalism and state formation in North Africa. These awards will help fund her research at archives in Madrid, Senegal, Mali, and Mauritania.
