History Department

Hello,
My name is Dr. Jennifer Selwyn and I am a lecturer in the History Department. I am trained as an early modernist who has focused my research on early modern Italian religious history, the history of gender and sexuality, and cross-cultural encounters in the pre-modern period. I received my PhD here at UC Davis in 1997 and have been teaching ever since in a number of universities. You can find my book and a more recent essay at the links below.
