DHI Conversation with the Department of History: Russia and Ukraine
The recent Russian invasion of Ukraine is probably the most important conflict to emerge in Europe since World War II. Five UCD experts will discuss these shocking developments in an on-line event sponsored by the UC Davis Humanities Institute, the California History Social Science Project (CHSSP), the History Project at UC Davis, the History Club, and the Departments of History and German/Russian.
The assembled UCD members will discuss the historical background of these events, their contemporary contexts, and geopolitical implications going forward. In association with the panel, the CHSSP will also be making relevant teaching materials available; the History Project has also shared this list of relevant resources.
