Summer Session I Clarence Walker
This course focuses on the Jacksonian Era and will cover the events leading up to the American Civil War.Topics to be covered: the emergence of the second party system, culture,society, politics, reform, abolition, the coming of the Civil War.

Requirements: Midterm and Final.
Readings: The American Promise and Celia, A Slave.
