Errazzouki Publishes Op-ed in the Washington Post

History graduate student Samia Errazzouki recently wrote an op-ed article that was published in the opinion section of the Washington Post on October 2nd, 2018:

A young woman embodied Morocco's future. Instead she was shot while trying to emigrate.

The piece, which drew on the author's experience as a child of Moroccan immigrants and later as a journalist working in Morocco, addressed recent political developments in the country. Samia is currently a second-year Ph.D. student specializing in North African history, focusing on nationalism and state formation.
