The UCD graduate program offers specialties in medieval, early modern and modern European history. The faculty in European history work in a broad range of fields, including the history of medicine, gender and family history, Jewish history, Eastern Europe, ethnic conflict, the Holocaust, 19th and 20th century France, British intellectual history, Early Modern Iberia, and late medieval Italy. Graduate students are encouraged to develop research projects that cut across geographic regions, fields, and disciplines.
