Cross-Cultural Women's History was established in the early 1990s by faculty in the UC Davis History department as a means to foster intellectual exchange on the history of women and gender around the globe.

The Cross-Cultural Women's and gender History Program (CCWgH) sponsors:

  • a minor field for the Ph.D. in History
  • an annual seminar, open to graduate students in all fields
  • an annual guest lecture, coordinated with the seminar
  • a research colloquium at which faculty, graduate students, and guests present their work

CCWgH gratefully acknowledges the support of a Consortium on Women in Research development grant, and the past support of the Davis Humanities Institute.
